Akhil Akkineni’s Agent which released on Friday, received negative feedback and poor reviews, resulting in it being declared a “box office dud.” Although Akhil’s performance was impressive, Surender Reddy’s direction and Vakkantham Vamsi’s writing were criticized for being subpar.
The box office prospects are extremely bleak as well.In fact, there have been a whole lot of trolls and mockery of the film since yesterday.
The film’s creators were also mocked for excessive publicity, with many drawing parallels to Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger, which was also a commercial failure.
Despite this, Akhil’s mother Amala Akkineni defended her son and the Agent team against the trolls.
She praised the team’s hard work and dedication, demonstrating a mother’s unwillingness to tolerate hurtful comments directed at her child.
Amala, who doesn’t usually comment about films has come in support of Agent.
“I understand that trolling comes from a deeper insecurity and need for achievement.I watched Agent yesterday and honestly enjoyed the film.
While it has its flaws, if you watch it with an open mind, you will be amazed” Amala wrote on Instagram.She further added that Akhil will come up with something bigger and better next time around with his next project.This Instagram post is now going viral.
