Kanpur : , Monday 23 November, 2009: India’s Test Specialist Cheteshwar Pujara praised Rahul Dravid on Monday, claiming that his vast experience would definitely be of benefit to the team.
India is looking to revenge their loss in the World Test Championship final by hosting New Zealand at Kanpur starting Thursday.

Dravid was recruited to the Test team following India’s win over New Zealand in recent T20I series.

Pujara is a former Indian skipper who played in 164 Tests for India and will provide a lot of advice to the younger players.

It will benefit most players.This is especially true for young players who worked with Rahul Bhai in India A and U-19 days.

Rahul Bhai is able to play with even experienced players, like me.

He has been a mentor to me during the A series.We all look forward to him guiding us.”The amount of experience that he has both as a player, and as coach to the team helps,” Pujara stated in a press conference before the training session.

Pujara also revealed that Shubman Gill, a youngster will play in India’s first Test.

According to him, the right-hander had been good in cricket since his debut.

He also said that the gifted player was looking forward playing.

He won’t be able to reveal it at the moment.

He is an excellent player, and he will definitely be joining the team.He is a talented player and you can be sure he won’t worry about anything.

Pujara said, “It is unfortunate that he did not get to England.But he’s a talented player and I don’t think personally, I will have to tell him much.”
