Tourism and Culture Minister Shri Srinivas Gowda inaugurated the 27th All India Crafts Fair at Madhapur Shilparam in Hyderabad.On this occasion, the Minister said that the All India Craft Fair is organized every year under the auspices of Shilparam.
Minister Srinivas Gowda directed the Shilparam authorities to take steps to ensure that there are cultural programs every day for the visitors coming to this craft mela.This year’s Craft Fair features over 500 different types of craft stalls from different states of the country, stall operators and nationally renowned artists.
Apart from Sant Kabir and Shilpa Guru, about 200 talented artists and sculptors in the art gallery collectively make and sell a number of works of art.The craft fair will be held from today till December 31, the minister said.At the craft fair, handicrafts, wooden toys, textile bags, bamboo products and linen products will be available to everyone at affordable prices.
On this occasion, the Minister inspected the stalls set up at the Craft Mela.
The Telangana state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Kalvakuntla Chandrasekhara Rao is working to bring pre-eminence to the handicrafts.As part of this, it was revealed that Shilparamas are being set up in all the district centers across the state.
The state government is promoting handloom artisans in all forms.They are encouraging more fairs to be organized in different areas to sell the products they make.
