Akshay Kumar was quite upset in a recent interview.Reason behind this is a journalist who had asked how far Prabhudeva is a right choice to direct a movie based on Sikh character Raftaar Singh.Not harsh though, Akshay replied in some sort of extreme manner.
“Religion is not necessary for directing the movie.‘Singh Is King’, which was also on a ‘sardaar’, was directed by Anees Bazmee, a Muslim.‘Singh is Bling’ is being directed by a south Indian, Prabhudheva.It is not at all necessary that a movie on a ‘sardaar’ needs to be directed by a Punjabi.In India, all castes are one and we understand each other very well.
Prabhudeva has done a very good job,”
“I’ve taken care of all things that I had not done during ‘Singh is King’.I don’t want to show anything that the Sikh community or any other Indian community is hurt, like they were during ‘Singh is King’.I had said ‘sorry’ then as well.This time I had one person from the committee to keep a check on the movie,” says Akshay.
