Chennai, December 28, 2008 : .Despite his painful injuries during filming of a bike scene in Chennai, Ajith returned to shooting that day despite being denied by the film unit an opportunity to delay shooting for two or more days. Vinoth (the director of actor Ajith’s film Valimai), disclosed this information during an interview with a website for a regional television channel.
The unit called ‘Valimai” had recently released a teaser for the movie in which an actor suffered injuries from a stunt on a bicycle.
In an interview with the channel, the director revealed details about what happened that day.He said that he believed that actor had a high capacity to endure and bear pain.
The director stated that Ajith was used to enduring pain and that the two had shot the sequence from a distance between 2 kms.
The producer of the movie, who was also present at the accident, asked Ajith to take a break from filming and let Ajith relax for two or three more days.
The director revealed that Ajith declined the offer, and made himself available to shoot the next night.
Ajith was required to wear three layers of clothing for the bike-chasing sequence the following night.
The director stated that Ajith had received raw injuries in the accident and wore the outfit on his naked flesh.He then turned up to film the scene.
Pongal will see the film with Huma Qureshi as its female lead.
