Ajay Devgn who is on a high with back to back successful films like ‘De De Pyaar De’ and ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’, is now getting ready with his next which is a sports-based movie.The film is titled ‘Maidaan’ and is said to be based on a true story of Indian football coach Syed Abdul Rahim who is is also regarded as the architect of modern Indian football.
The film was earlier scheduled to hit the theaters on November 27th but the makers have now shifted its release date to December 11th due to reasons unknown.The makers confirmed the date by releasing a new poster of Ajay where he seen with the footballs in a ground with a group of young players in the background.
Another update is that the film will have a simultaneous release in all South languages along with Hindi on the same date.Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla, Arunava Joy Sengupta and Zee Studios are producing the film while National award winning actress Priyamani will be playing the female lead.
The film is directed by Amit Sharma of ‘Badhaai Ho’ (2018) fame while the screenplay and dialogues are written by Saiwyn Quadros and Ritesh Shah respectively.Hope Ajay Devng continues his success streak with this film too!!
