However, it gradually weakened and crossed the coast at Gujrat.Now, Hyderabad Meteorological Department has forecast another low pressure in the central Bay of Bengal, which is going to turn into a cyclone on May 22.

Authorities said the southwest monsoon is likely to enter the southern Andaman Sea and the adjoining southeastern Bay of Bengal on May 22.The Hyderabad Department of Meteorology expects the low-pressure area to strengthen into a cyclone on the 24th of this month.It is likely to travel northwest and reach the Odisha-West Bengal coast on the 26th of this month, officials said.

However, it is said that there is a possibility of moderate rains in Telangana and there will be no much impact of the cyclone on the Telugu states.

At present, winds are blowing from the west in Telangana and the moderate rains would continue in the state for the next three days, officials said.

Meteorological department officials said that if the low-pressure area turns into a cyclone, there is a possibility of rain along with thunder, lightning, and heavy winds.
