In a shocking incident a 40-year-old actress Shikha Joshi committed suicide in her Andheri West-based apartment on Saturday evening.The actress, who acted in critically acclaimed Bollywood film BA Pass, ended her life by slashing her neck with knife.
Though the exact reason for her extreme step is unknown, the troubled life of the actress seems to be the obvious reason for her suicide.Shikha, arrived in Mumbai from Delhi two months back has been living with a friend in a housing society in Andheri West.
The Victim’s Friend informs, “Shikha Joshi locked herself in the bathroom after consuming alcohol at around 7 pm.I asked her why she was taking so long inside.When the door opened, her neck was covered in blood and kitchen knife was lying on the floor”.
She was rushed to the hospital where the doctors declared her brought dead.
Police have also registered a case of accidental death.As per reports this model turned actress had been undergoing immense stress because of a molestation case she had filed on a doctor in 2011.
