They defeated Northern Warriors five runs.Rovman Powell, the Warriors’ skipper scored 63 runs to make it 126/4.

Will Jacks, an English cricketer from England, played a brilliant innings of unbeaten 56 to assist the Tigers in their chase.He did this in just 9.1 overs.
In Sunday’s game, the Bangla Tigers lost five wickets and scored only 58 runs.

Jacks displayed tremendous determination, smashing Samit Pavtel with two fours and sixes in the second over.However, he kept losing to his partners on the other side until Benny Howell, Jack’s countrymate, stepped onto the crease.

Howell clearly stated his intent when he destroyed Chris Jordan to score two boundaries and a six.Jacks won the game for the Warriors by hitting three boundaries and Abhimanyu Mithun with a six in the eighth over.Jacks scored 57 runs from 22 balls and Howell was 35 not out in 11 balls.The partnership combined for 72 runs over 29 balls, bringing the Tigers home with just five deliveries.

The Northern Warriors were on the ground earlier when the Bangla Tigers put the Northern Warriors down after Gareth Delany, an Irish cricketer, was outdone by Luke Wood in his first over.Kennar Lewis was then bowled by James Faulkner, leaving them at 13/2 in just 1.2 overs.The Northern Warriors got off to a good start when Moeen Ali struck Isuru Udana twice and Karim Janat three times in the fourth and fifth overs, respectively.

Ali was unable to stay on the field for long as Janat bowled him out with 24 runs, 12 balls later.

Captain Rovman Powell took the centre stage and ran riot against Benny Howell, scoring a six in the fourth over and four in five.

The momentum was with him and he went on to score a blistering innings, scoring 63 runs in 27 balls.He also had 4 boundaries and 6 sixes.Samit Patel was there to support Powell.He scored 21 runs in 13 balls, and also managed a partnership total of 80 runs with his skipper.

The Warriors reached a record total of 126/4 with Powell and Patel’s explosive batting.
