Former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam is no more.Kalam was died in Shillong on Monday after he collapsed during a lecture at the Indian Institute of Management in the Meghalaya capital.
As per the reports Klaam died due to cardiac arrest.
Abdul Kalam was known as the missile man of India and he was born in Rameswaram on October 15, 1931, to a boatman.
Kalam served as the 11th President of India, succeeding K R Narayanan.He won the 2002 presidential election with an electoral vote of 922,884.
He served from 25 July 2002 to 25 July 2007.He played a pivotal role in India’s Pokhran-II nuclear test in 1998, the first since the test by India in 1974.
For his achievements, he was awarded the Padma Bhushan and Bharat Ratna.Kalam’s dead body has been taken to the military hospital for embalming.It will be taken to Guwhati by a helicopter and from there flown to Delhi.We at Telugustop.com expressing grief over the death of India’s most respected personality.
