A.R.Rahman is one the best film music composer in Indian cinema right from his debut movie ‘Roja‘ and can be admitted that nobody can cross him.He made India proud by bagging twin Oscars for ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ and has followed it up with many more prestigious national and international awards.Rahman has now branched out into film production and has also co-written the screenplay for the movie ’99 Songs’.
He has now officially announced that the film will be releasing on April 16th, 2021 in Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu languages.Jio Cinemas is the co-producer.A musical drama film, ’99 Songs’ is directed by debutant Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy.It is the story of art and self-discovery of a struggling singer who wants to become a successful music composer.Rahman has co-written the movie and he announced the release date through his social media.

The world premiere of the film was held at the 24th Busan International Film Festival in Busan, South Korea in 2019.’99 Songs’ marks the debut of Ehan Bhat and Edilsy Vargas in lead roles, alongside Aditya Seal, Lisa Ray, and Manisha Koirala among others portraying supporting characters.The album consisting of 14 songs by the music composer is already a huge hit.Keep watching this space for more updates!
