Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSR Congress party (YSRCP) president, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, has criticized various opposition parties for their decision to boycott the inauguration of the new Parliament building by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Sunday.Jagan Mohan Reddy congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for completion of the new Parliament building.
He further expressed his disagreement with the opposition’s boycott, stating that it goes against the “true spirit of democracy” and went on to request all political parties to attend the inauguration of the new Parliament.
In a tweet posted on Wednesday, Jagan Reddy called for all political parties to attend the historic event, setting aside their political differences.
He also announced that his party would attend the inauguration.He congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for dedicating the grand and spacious Parliament building to the nation.
He emphasized that the Parliament is the temple of democracy and represents the soul of the nation, belonging to all political parties and the people of the country.
Taking to Twitter, Jagan said, “I congratulate @narendramodiji for dedicating the grand, majestic and spacious Parliament building to the nation.Parliament, being the temple of democracy, reflects our nation’s soul.”
The AP CM further tweeted: “Boycotting such an auspicious event is not in the true spirit of democracy.I request all political parties to attend this glorious event, setting aside all political differences.In the true spirit of democracy, my party will attend this historic event,” Jagan underlined.
