Ranchi 30 Aug : Jharkhand BJP leader Seema Patra had allegedly chained her son and thrown him in an asylum for mental illness in the event that he stood in the defense of their housekeeper who was said to have been brutally abused and was tortured by her.When Ayushman Ptra reacted against her conduct toward their maid Seema claimed that her son was mentally unstable, put chains on his hands, and then forcefully got him into the Ranchi Institute of Neuro-Psychiatry and Allied Sciences.
It was discovered that following the incident of brutality on Sunita the maid went to the media, Seema had her son discharged from the medical facility on Monday.
Jharkhand Governor Ramesh Bais, meanwhile, has taken note of the issue and has expressed “serious concern” about the lack of professionalism of police.
He also wanted to know from the DGP about the reason why no action was made against the suspect to date.
The police recorded Sunita’s testimony in the courtroom under Section of 164 of CrPc.
Sunita said to the court she was dabbed with hot pans all over her body many of times.Additionally, she was hit with iron rods, due to which she lost 3 teeth.
In reality, she was also not given food or water for several weeks, Sunita said.
Sunita was saved by police on the 22nd of August in the luxurious Ashok Nagar locality in Ranchi.
However there have been no arrests taken in relation with the case till now.
She worked at Patra’s home for the past eight years.The husband of Seema’s, Maheshwar Patra, is a retired IAS officer.
The police had stated that the girl was able to send an email to a member of Jharkhand government’s personnel department describing her experience.
He then notified the police and an entire team was formed to help the girl escape from the residence of Patra.
