Los Angeles, Aug 27 : “Honey Boy” actor Shia LaBeouf has opened up about allegations of abuse that have damaged his career.Jon Bernthal’s podcast “Real Ones,” the actor spoke about the shocking allegations of sexual battery as well as verbal and physical abuse brought against him by English singer-songwriter FKA Twigs in a 2020 lawsuit, as reported by Variety.
According to Variety, LaBeouf dated FKA Twigs for about one year following their meeting during the filming of his upcoming film “Honey Boy”.With accusations ranging from strangulation to violent attacks, FKA Twigs accused LaBeouf of knowingly infecting her with an STD and then shooting stray dogs with the help of a gun to play the character in his film “The Tax Collector’.
“I hurt the woman,” LaBeouf said, however, he did not address her on the podcast by name.”And in the process of doing so I injured a lot of other people, as well as many other people before the woman.I was a self-centered, pleasure-seeking self-centered, dishonest inconsiderate, frightened human being.”
The actor said, as reported in Variety: “When I think about my life as it has evolved and what I want to do today, and what is my current purpose.I have to be productive.When I look at the #MeToo movement there’s not a amount of people taking responsibility.”
“I was f***ed up,” LaBeouf admitted.”Like the crash and burn shit.(I) have hurt lots of people and I’m aware of the fact that.And I’m going to have to pay for the remainder of my existence.” LaBeouf later admitted that he has an “long list of people I have to apologize to.”
In the interview LaBeouf acknowledged “cheat[ing on all women I’ve had the pleasure of being with” and not ever telling his “sexual partners about developing cold sores” that he admitted as “manipulative”.
LaBeouf has talked about being in better mental state now in his interview, stating that at the time when allegations became to the public, he “wanted to hit Twitter and say”Look, I’ve got receipts.'” In a non-specific way, he added that his accuser is a “saint” and “saved my”f ****** life”.
He concluded by saying: “Had she not intervened in my life and allowed me to go through ego death, I’d have either a poor life or die in the full.”
