Gurugram officials designate areas of containment as Covid instances rise.

Gurugram 18 August : Gurugram, Aug 18 : .Gurugram district administration has identified nine zones of higher-end communities and sectors, and declared them ‘containment zones’ in the wake of the rise in coronavirus cases.
Tower 8 Floor 8th floor to 10th of Sushant Estate Sector 52, DLF Phase-4, 4th to 6th floor of Tarika Apartment Sector-43, H-No 13 through 18 H Block South City-2 Sector 49, H-No 87 to 90 N Block, Mayfield Garden, Sector-51, 8th floor D tower, JMD Garden Sector 33 C-80 to C-90 Near Vyapar Kendra, H-No 1015 to 1033 packet-3 Sector-21, Floor 6 Tower TG-2 Suncity and Sector-54 Gurugram are among the urban clusters which are in the listing.

The administration has stated that an official of the health department will visit each door in these areas to conduct screening or thermal screening of every resident.The staff of the civic body will ensure that there is a complete awareness of these areas.”Gates/door of every household will be cleaned thoroughly,” said a government order.

Officials have said that no one is allowed to leave the area until they are declared containment zones, nor could anyone enter the zones.The administration has requested Gurugram police to build barricades and assure the presence of police.

For essential items such as dairy products, rations, and vegetables A list of stores is being compiled to ensure deliveries to homes of the items listed above.

“Once again, we observed Covid infection in high-end areas.The public must take extra precautions.Do not be reluctant in having the vaccine or booster dose.

The team of the health department will monitor the areas where more cases are being reported in the zone of containment,” Virender Yadav, chief medical officer of Gurugram said.

As of now, with 557 new cases surfacing in Gurugram on Thursday, the city is home to more than 1,588 active Covid cases.

From the 1,558 patients who are currently infected the district, 68 are in hospital and 1,520 are in isolation at home.

The Covid-19 count in Gurugram has increased to 2,955,529 according to the daily official health bulletin.
