Punjab CM is urging for people to unite to fight against the social diseases

Ludhiana 15 August : Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday urged the people to unite and fight social ills such as communalism, corruption, unemployment and social discrimination in order to realize the hopes of our freedom fighters to create the “Rangla” Punjab.
In his address to a crowd at the state-level celebration to commemorate Independence Day at Guru Nanak Stadium in the city the Chief Minister said these diseases are hindering the development of the state as well as the well-being of its citizens.

The tricolour was unfurled on the occasion, he said the time is now to eradicate these diseases, and said that the mission is impossible without the active participation of the citizens.

The Chief Minister stated that it is an occasion of immense pride and honor for each Indian nation that it has celebrated 75 years as an independent , democratic republic in the present.

All the nation’s citizens, and especially Punjabis, in India and around the globe on this historic momentous occasion.Mann declared that India’s journey towards Independence was lengthy and difficult but equally difficult was the road to keep the freedom that it has enjoyed.

The Chief Minister added that in the role of an independent colony of British Empire the country has been through a lot of hardship and the courageous and determined soldiers of our struggle for freedom put in a lot of sacrifices to break the chains of the imperialistic foreign policy.

He declared that it was recorded that over 80 percent of the patriots of great stature who sacrificed their lives or fell to British rule of law in some form or another were Punjabis.

Mann claimed that there was a string of gems such as Baba Ram Singh, Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh Shaheed Rajguru, Shaheed Sukhdev, Lala Lajpat Rai, Shaheed Udham Singh Kartar Singh Sarabha Diwan Singh Kalepani and many more sacrificed their lives to create a sovereign nation.

The Chief Minister stated that it is unfortunate that some people are asking questions about the role of the great martyrs.

He reminded the population of the great martyrs and national heroes who tirelessly struggled to free the nation from the chains of the British regime.He stated that questioning the legitimacy of martyrs is a reprehensible crime.

The Chief Minister stated that, even in the present Punjabis are in the forefront in securing the borders of the country.

He claimed that Punjabis was the one who led the nation from the front when India was confronted with any threat from external or internal aggression.

It is well-known that the hardworking and resilient farmers of the state have played an important role in making the country self-sufficient in agriculture, Mann added.

The Chief Minister urged all Punjabis to take an active role in making Punjab prosper and a leading state of the nation the Chief Minister also said that the tree planted by the people of state in the form of the an administration of the Aam Aadmi Party in elections for the assembly, which took place in the early months of this year, is producing fruit in the present.

He declared that from today from now Punjab will continue to write daily an exciting new success story of growth and development.

Mann stated that new avenues of work will be created and soon the state will be”Rangla Punjab”.

The Chief Minister stated that with the active assistance and cooperation of our people, the state government has been working to realize the vision of the freedom fighters.

The Chief Minister also stated that from the very first day in his office the state government is working hard to bring back the splendor of Punjab.

The Chief Minister stated that in order to ensure quality and prompt health services for the population the state government is committing 75 Aam Aadmi clinics to commemorate the 75th Independence Day.

He stated that these clinics will provide 41health packages with more than 100 clinical tests for free of charge to citizens.Mann predicted that these clinics would serve could be the basis for a complete overhaul of the health system in Punjab.

In the same vein, the Chief Minister added the government of the state is determined to revitalizing the educational system in state in order to reverse the downward trend of brain loss.

He said that in this regard the state government has adopted a multi-pronged plan which aims to transform school systems that are run by the government to aSchools of Eminence’.

Also, Mann said 16 new medical colleges will be established in the next five years.

The Chief Minister stated that in an innovative move, his government offered 600 units of free power per billing cycle to every segment of society.

He declared that as a consequence of this that 51 lakh households of the of the total of 74 lakh households will be billed for electricity at zero in September.

Also, Mann said 68 lakh households will not pay a electricity bills in January.That would represent around 90 percent of households of the state.

The Chief Minister stated that the government of the state will not permit the construction of the Textile Park to set up at Mattewara which is the heart of Ludhiana.

He stated that the government has already provided alternative land sites to the state government of India.

Mann stated that the government of the state is working to protecting the environment of the state.

Prior to that, the Chief Minister with Chief Secretary Vijay Kumar Jajua and Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav was present to inspect the parade, which was directed by parade chief ASP Maninder Singh.

He also received a salute from an impressive parade through the streets by 11 groups of Punjab Police, Punjab Home Guards, Punjab Armed Police, NCC Girls and Boys, Bharat Scouts and Guides, as well as the Punjab Police Brass band and other school bands.
