Thiruvananthapuram 13 August : The Center’s “Har Ghar Tiranga initiative launched in Kerala to a huge response that broke down any barriers of age, caste or religion on a Saturday morning.The campaign was launched as part of the ‘Azadi ka Mahotsav’, a celebration of the 75th anniversary of India’s declaration of Independence The campaign will run until August 15.
The program is aimed at inspiring Indians everywhere to fly the flag of their nation at their workplaces and homes.
State Minister K.Krishnankutty and K.Balagopal began the campaign this morning, hoisting the tricolour in their homes.
The one who stole the show was none other than the superstar Mohanlal (Hon Lt.Col) as heThe flag was raised at the residence of his Kochi residence.
After he carried the Tri-colour to the top of the hill the national anthem performed and everyone in the event sat in silence in rapt.
“Am very happy to be a part in the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and the initiative will definitely increase the nation’s love for it,” said Mohanlal to the media.
Similar hoisting of the Tri-colours was also observed in the offices of resident associations as well as at government offices, clubs and at homes.
