In accordance with the current laws of Bangladesh There are strict prohibitions against establishments that allow gambling.Allowing gambling companies to operate is in contradiction to the law and the constitution of the country.

Shakib’s affiliation with the company that bets was, according to reports, in violation of the law.

On August 2nd, the 35-year-old cricketer released an announcement on social media about his affiliation with Betwinner News. After a couple of days later, Hassan said that the board would investigate Shakib’s sponsorship announcement.

After that, Betwinner News put out an announcement on their website that stated that they “doesn’t have any connection to any form of gambling or betting” and also that it’s a “sports news site only”.

In the afternoon of Wednesday, Hassan said that Shakib was forced to decide between representing Bangladesh as well as continuing to keep his commitment with the business, while giving Shakib the allrounder a chance to decide.

He claimed that the BCB acknowledged “Betwinner News” as a company that is a surrogate of Betwinner, the betting company.Betwinner”.

“The law is very clear on what companies are banned (by BCB).BCB) and this company is linked to betting.

You can refer to Betwinner News as a news (company) however, it is identified as a betting firm.It is a component (of the betting corporation).

We have stated that it is not related (to the betting business),” Hassan had stated.

“He (Shakib) must decide whether he would like to play for Bangladesh or stick with betting. There’s no chance of keeping the association. He must be able to get out of it completely. And if he doesn’t, he won’t be in the team. There’s no debate. We’ve made a simple decision.Anyone who has an affiliation with betting companies cannot be associated with the Bangladesh Cricket Board. We won’t take his name in the team until we receive a satisfactory answer from him.” he added.

Shakib pulling out of the controversial deal makes him in the race to be the next candidate for the T20I captaincy. He was originally believed to be Bangladesh’s captain in the format of the forthcoming Asia Cup, before he posted the tweet on social media.

The current situation with Shakib as well as a variety of injuries, has delayed Bangladesh in the selection of their squad for the tournament. They’re expected to announce the team on Saturday, which is well past the deadline.
