Ahmedabad 10 Aug : The All India Congress Committee’s women social media wing’s social media director Natasha Sharma is being trolled on social media for tweets of mocking the individuals of Gujarat. “Has any Gujarati athlete been awarded gold medals in the Commonwealth Games, or they have gold medals in bank looting,” she had tweeted.
Her tweet provoked outrage, and twitterati took to twitter to mock her for posting information about four athletes from Gujarat who have won gold medals.
Confronted with her error, she immediately apologised to the people of Gujarat.
In the meantime the Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi took a stinging swipe on the Congress leader, stating that her tweet was an insult to the players from Gujarat who have won four gold medals to represent the country.
“Natasha’s tweet is a reflection of the mindset of the Congress who believe in regionalism and segregating society based on the basis of creed and caste,” he said.
