Born in Visakhapatnam, Maanas’ family shifted to Mumbai where he developed interest in dance and cinema.His father was a central government employee and mother, an educationalist, women and child rights activist, and former member of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), Hyderabad,His family later moved back to Vizag and then shifted to Hyderabad.Maanas completed his B.Tech in Gokaraju Rangaraju College of Engineering, Hyderabad.He was an avid movie buff and a diehard fan of pawan Kalyan Megastar Chiranjeevi was his dance idol.On the TV front, Maanas appeared in the Doordarshan show Pithrudevobhava and Bhale Chancele.
However, she shot to fame with the show Koilamma, produced by eminent filmmaker K Raghavendra Rao.Maanas later featured in the daily soap Deeparadhana featuring Prabhakar and Priyanka Naidu in the lead roles.Maanas has played the lead in the upcoming Telugu film Ksheera Sagara Madhanam
