Gaddam Meghna (18) from Tangutur, Prakasam district, Andhra Pradesh has been elected as a member of the New Zealand Youth Parliament.Meghna has been nominated from the Walcotto area as a Member of Parliament representing the ‘Service Programs, Youth’ category in connection with the selection of the country’s nominated MP.
Meghna’s father Gaddam Ravikumar emigrated to New Zealand with his wife Usha in 2001 for employment.Meghna was born and raised there.He completed his schooling at St.Peter’s High School in Cambridge.At a young age she had a lot of social consciousness.
It is in this context that Meghna has played an active role in providing basic facilities, education and shelter to refugees from various countries who have migrated to New Zealand.Collect donations with friends and donate to orphanages.
