Nine bridges are located in Jammu and Kashmir; five in Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh, and three each in Uttarakhand and Sikkim.

Two of the roads are located in Ladakh, and one in West Bengal.

Singh has completed the projects that were e-inaugurated.

They are located along important roads axis, laterals and borders to the Northern and Eastern parts of the country.

Highlight of the event was India’s first indigenous-class 70, a 140-foot Double-Lane Modular Bridge.

It was built at Flag Hill Dokala in Sikkim.

Flag Hill-Dokla Road will cut travel time by Indian troops. It is located near Doklam plateau, where there was a standoff for 73 days between the Chinese and Indian armies. This alternative route is an option to reach the border regions near the India-Tibet–Bhutan trijunction, where China has aggressively increased its military infrastructure.

In 2018, there was only one route from Dokla to the Bheem Base.

Alternate routes from Leh to Demchock can be found on the 52km long Chisumale-Demchock road, which runs through Umling La at 19,300ft.

The minister spoke at the occasion and called the ceremony a “reflection of the BRO’s commitment to progress in border areas” and expressed confidence that the construction work would contribute significantly towards the creation of a New India.

He stated that Umling-La’s road will allow for faster movements of Armed Forces and boost tourism to ensure the socio-economic development in the area.

He said that roads in the border regions cater to strategic needs and assure equal participation of remote parts in the country’s development.

Singh said that the original Double-Lane Modular Bridge was a shining example ‘Aatmanirbharta (Self Reliant Indian) and that the cost of its development has been much less than the price and it can easily be taken down if necessary.

It is an important step on the way to achieving ‘Make in India,’ as envisaged by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This is an emblem of the Government’s determination to improve connectivity between border regions. He said that it will open the door to more bridge construction in these areas.”

BRO has now completed 102 infrastructure projects in one season thanks to the e-inauguration.This is a new record, and it was achieved in India’s 75th anniversary of Independence.

Construction was completed by the BRO in record time, using state-of-the art technology in many of its components.

Singh dedicated 12 roads to Singh earlier in June, totaling 75 projects, in the 75th anniversary of Independence.

Singh said that the building of roads, bridges, and tunnels along border regions is crucial to building strong, prosperous nations.

He also stated that countries which create their own paths are more successful.

The BRO’s contribution to nation building was lauded by him.It has helped improve the socio-economic conditions of people in remote areas, and it has assisted the country with its communication, security and trade goals.

He spoke out in particular about the BRO’s recent achievements, such as Atal Tunnel and Kailash Mansarovar roads, the recent opening of 54 bridges, and the establishment of Centres for Excellence on Road Safety and Roads, Bridges, Tunnels, Air-fields.

Singh reiterated the government’s determination to holistically develop the nation.Singh stated that, while keeping in mind security needs, Singh noted that the government gave top priority infrastructure development along the border, as well as strengthening the inner parts.

We faced our Northern Sector adversary with determination and grit.Without proper infrastructure development, it would not have been possible.”The BRO is a dedicated organization that has fulfilled its obligations with the utmost devotion.”

In today’s unstable times, a strong border infrastructure is vital to ensure strategic capability.

We must also strengthen our surveillance systems in order to move ahead with strengthening our border infrastructure.Infiltration, illicit trade, smuggling and skirmishes are all common in the border regions.

He said that the government has since established Comprehensive Integrated Border Management System.
