Each state’s team has moved into the capitals of their respective states and they have begun to focus on the work. They are also trying to get ahead in social media campaigns.

Rohan Gupta, chairman of the party’s social media division said that the campaign was handled entirely by volunteers. We haven’t outsourced this.

Our party is way ahead of the BJP or the AAP.

Gupta stated that Congress has outperformed the AAP, BJP in Uttarakhand and Punjab in social media outreach. As social media campaign in-charges, the party appointed Ruchira chaturvedi to Uttar Pradesh, Hasiba amin to Uttarakhand and Gaurav Patel to Uttarakhand.Pranav Vachharjani is in Manipur.

These individuals have been assigned teams to assist them.

The work will percolate from the state to the district and assembly levels and the party is making videos trending hashtags as #punjabchangasi, #uttrakhandmangejawab and such others.

Each team has created a website to share the Congress manifesto with the public and solicit feedback.

Social media has provided training for office bearers at booth level in all 50 states and equipped them with modern techniques.

The social media department will work to stop any misinformation campaigns on social media from spreading.

Party leaders Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, and Priyanka have created special campaigns.

Live streaming is also available for big programs and speeches.People are engaging with social media volunteers.

The Congress social media team has started making videos for publicity and also to counter the BJP’s narrative, said Gupta.

The Congress had launched a ‘Join Congress Social Media’ campaign after which two lakh online ‘warriors’ have registered themselves.

“We all know that the government is scared of social media. Those who are against the government are anti-nationals.

Through this, we are going to give the youth and the people of the country a platform to raise their voice,” Gupta said.

The Congress is out of power in all the states except Punjab and the main rival is the BJP which is ruling the other states.

The Congress started the social media campaign late but picked up gradually and now has full fledged social media teams in the states. It plans to make the teams dynamic at the assembly and booth levels.
