India should make 5G a national priority.Jio has created a 100% home-grown, comprehensive 5G solution that is fully cloud-native and digitally managed.Jio’s network can be seamlessly upgraded from 4G or 5G by its future-proof, converged architecture,” he stated.

According to a new Ericsson report, 5G technology will account for around 39% of Indian mobile subscriptions at the end 2027.

This is compared to approximately 500 million subscriptions at the time, which was estimated by last month.

According to the latest data from Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, (TRAI), Reliance Jio now has more than 44.38 million subscribers.

Ambani stated that affordability is a key driver of India’s phenomenally rapid growth in mobile subscribers.

“When we think about affordability in the policy context we only think about affordability of services. He said that India must ensure affordability of not only services but also devices and applications.

Jio was able to introduce Fibre to-Home to five millions homes during the Covid era.

Ambani stated that if all the players in this industry work together, we could quickly achieve a nationwide footprint for fibre, much like we reached every corner of the country with mobile telephony in the last decade.
