Los Angeles, December 8, 2008 : Hollywood actor Dave Bautista will star in ‘Knock At The Cabin’, the upcoming film from M.Night Shyamalan, a Pondicherry-born Indian American filmmaker. According to Deadline, the actor from ‘Dune’ is in negotiations to appear in Shyamalan’s upcoming movie.The secretive filmmaker will write and direct the film alongside Marc Bienstock, Steven Schneider, and also produce it with Ashwin Rajan under his Blinding Edge Pictures banner.
The movie is set to release in February 2023.Details are being kept secret.
Bautista is currently in a busy time.She has starred in ‘Dune,’ and Netflix’s “Army of the Dead”, and recently wrapped production on ‘Knives Out 2″.
He is currently working on the 3rd Guardians of the Galaxy movie.In addition to ‘Knock At the Cabin’, he is expected to shoot “Dune 2” and is attached to star and produce an action film with Jason Momoa.
Recently, the star of 52 years old admitted that he almost broke down when he was cast as “Dune” because he wanted to work with Denis Villeneuve, but didn’t want “capitalise on” his friendship with Villeneuve to land his role as Glossu Rabban.
When asked what attracted him to this project, he replied: “For me it was Denis.This was something I really wanted to do, as I was a tracker for ‘Dune.My agent kept asking me when auditions would be available.
When will they release these roles?
“But I never met up with Denis personally, as I didn’t want the guy to be that.I didn’t want try to capitalize on our friendship so I waited and waited, until finally I got a call from him.He offered me the job.It was so overwhelming that I nearly broke down.
“It’s still like, ‘Wow! This is crazy that I’m even there’.”
Shyamalan explained that he had to think harder about keeping his stories secret as he progressed in his career.
