Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s recent announcement on the PRC, one of the many demands of the employee unions, will be implemented in the next ten to fifteen days.
Even if CM Jagan does not make an official announcement on the PRC, the government authority will likely issue official orders on the PRC in ten to fifteen days.
But, in reality, the government does not have such a financial situation right now.It is difficult to pay DAs and old arrears to a large number of employees in the current financial crisis.
The government seems to understand the opposition coming from the employees.In the past, the government would have taken immediate action to address the concerns of the employees during the TDP regime.
Chandrababu attempted to include all sections of Andhra Pradesh.Chandrababu allotted everything that the employees asked for.
During Chandrababu’s regime, fitment was given, the retirement age was raised, DAs were not put on hold.Secretariat employees were given two weeks offs.
Although Chandrababu gave everything that the employees asked for, Chandrababu was defeated in the 2019 elections.
Now Jagan and the YCP are well aware of how influential employees are.It is a well-known fact that the state does not currently have the financial capacity to meet all the demands.It remains to be seen what the YCP does.
