CJI Ramana pay tributes to Dollar Seshadri

Tirupati : , Nov 30, 2018 : Justice N.V.Ramana, the Chief Justice of India, paid tribute to Tirmuala temple’s famous priest Pala Seshadri on Tuesday.He is also known as Dollar Seshadri and whose final rites were performed at the temple town.
After arriving at Renigunta Airport in Delhi, the Chief Justice drove straight towards Dollar Seshadri’s home and laid a wreath on his corpse.

On Monday, the Officer on Special Duty (OSD), Tirumala Tirupati Devisthanam (TTD), died from cardiac arrest in Visakhapatnam.

According to the CJI, he couldn’t imagine Tirumala if it wasn’t for Dollar Seshadri.He also described his loss as a great loss for his family.

He spoke to media people and recalled that he had a 25 year-long relationship with him.

He stated that Dollar Seshadri used smile to greet him and his family members when they came to Tirumala to perform darshan.”It hurts me that he will not be able see me again,” the CJI stated.

Justice Ramana stated that Dollar Seshadri, Lord Venkateswara’s most beloved devotee, was fortunate to have his last breath in service of Srivari.

Dollar Seshadri visited Visakhapatnam to attend “Kartika Deepotsavam”.

His last rites were performed at Satya Harishchandra Vaikuntadhamam.His brother Ramanujam performed his last rites.

The funeral procession had begun earlier from his home.TTD chairman Y.V.Subba Reddy and MLAs Bhuma Karaunakar Reddy and Chevireddy Bhaskarreddy, as well as state government advisor Ajaykallam, paid their last respects.

Seshadri was a faithful servant of the hill shrine since 1978.

Although he reached superannuation July 31, 2006, successive governments extended his term as OSD.

Seshadri is an expert on the history and rituals of the temple.He was also the most prominent figure in TTD (the temple’s management).Seshadri was a regular visitor to the temple as a VIP.
