Mumbai, Nov 30, : The trailer of Ranveer Singh-starrer “83” has been unveiled.It brings to life one of the most memorable moments in Indian cricket. Ranveer plays Kapil Dev, a former star cricketer.The film tells the story about how the Indian cricket team brought home the 1983 World Cup after defeating West Indies in a match.
The trailer, which lasted over three minutes, began with the Indian team struggling on the field.Ranveer and Kapil announce at the press conference that they’re ‘here for win’.
Pankaj Tripathi, an actor of international repute, plays the role of Man Singh, the former-manager for the team PR.He tells Kapil, “35 Saal pehle, magar izzatjeetna hai, Kaptaan (We won independence 35 year ago, but we have yet to win respect, Captain).”
The trailer’s second half shows how the Indian team makes a strong comeback.Kapil smashes dressing room windows, glasses, and windscreens of cars, hitting back-toback sixes.
Deepika Padukone, the actress who plays the role of Romi Dev’s wife Kapil, also makes several appearances in this trailer.
Other actors include Jiiva, Tahir Raj Bhasin and Saqib Saleem.Jatin Sarna is also featured.Nishant Sharma, Harrdy Khattar, Harrdy Sarna, Harrdy Sarna, Harrdy Sarna, Harrdy Sarna, Harrdy Sarna, Ammy Virk.Addinath Kothare.Dhairya Karwa, and R.Badree are also seen in the trailer.
Directed by Kabir Khan and 83 is one the most anticipated films this year.
