Bengaluru, Nov 30, : A shocking case in which miscreants broke into a Bengaluru house to give a jab for Omicron, and robbed inmates of their gold jewellery. Police say that three robbers arrived in a car, and one of them wore hand gloves and went inside the house pretending to be a medical staff member on vaccination duty.
Sampath Singh’s wife Pista Devi, and Raksha, his daughter-in-law, inquired about Covid-19 vaccine.He told them that he was on the job to conduct a vaccination drive for the new Covid version ‘Omicron’.
Pista Devi tried calling her husband but was stopped by the accused who placed a gun on her forehead.The other two accused then locked her and Raksha in a room and stole 50 grams of gold jewellery.
Vikram Singh, Pista Devi’s older son, returned home from school and was unaware of the events.The accused asked him if he had gotten the vaccine.
The accused fled the scene as soon as he stated that he had received both doses.
The incident occurred at the Yeshwanthpur Police Station limits on Monday at Sampath Singh’s residence in Brindavannagar.
The police are currently investigating the matter and have launched an investigation to find the robbers.
