Wellington, Nov 30, : , New Zealand reported Tuesday that 134 new cases of Covid-19 Delta variant were discovered in the community.This brings the total number of confirmed cases in the current outbreak to 8,431. According to the Ministry of Health, Xinhua news agency reported that 116 new infections were found in Auckland, eight in Waikato, nine in Bay of Plenty, and one in Northland.
According to a Ministry statement, 89 patients are currently being treated in hospitals.
Nine of these cases are in high dependency units or intensive care units.
According to the Health Ministry, there are currently 11,206 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in New Zealand.
The Ministry reported that 92 percent of eligible New Zealanders have received their first doses, and that 86 percent have been fully vaccinated to date.
