Islamabad, Nov 30, : Asad Urmar, the Head of Pakistan’s National Command and Operation Center, (NCOC), urged the Pakistani people on Monday to get fully vaccinated to prevent the new Omicron version of Covid-19. Umar, who is also Minister of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, spoke to media at a Islamabad press conference.He said, “Previous experience shows that it can spread throughout the world, including Pakistan, because it is so interconnected that it’s impossible to stop any new variation from spreading.”
According to the Minister, vaccinating everyone is the best way to protect yourself from the Omicron variant.
According to Xinhua news agency, the Minister announced that the Pakistani government would launch a massive vaccination campaign this week.He also stated that the number daily tests would increase if more resources are available.
He stated that 50 million Pakistanis are currently fully vaccinated.
The NCOC announced that certain countries would be expelled from the country in response to the Omicron variant.This includes South Africa, Botswana, and Namibia.
