Israel finds 2,150-year-old Hellenistic farm in central Tel Aviv

Jerusalem, Nov 29, : Israeli archaeologists discovered the remains of a Hellenistic farm (Greek culture), in the heart Tel Aviv’s coastal city.They are approximately 2,150 years old, according to the Israel Antiquities Authority.
The IAA reported that the farm was found at the corner of two main streets, ahead of construction of a station as part of the light rail system in the city.

It was used for cultivating grain, vines, and brewing wine.

The farm’s relics included at most eight rooms made from the rock.They were arranged in two rows with passages and windows in between.

There were many pottery fragments found on the floor, most likely remnants of jars that held oil, wine, and seeds.
