Ernkulam 29 Nov : .Work began Monday with a traditional Ernakulam pooja. Like all previous films in the franchise, the Malayalam film will be directed by K Madhu.It will star Mammootty playing the legendary Sethurama Iyer (an officer with the CBI).
S N Swamy wrote the story of this investigative thriller, which was aptly titled “CBI 5”.He also wrote the stories for the other four films in that franchise, namely “Oru CBI Diary Kurippu”, “Jagratha”, “Sethurama Iyer CBI” and ‘Nerariyan CBI”.
According to industry sources, the plot will focus on the ‘Basket Killings’ this time around.
The film will feature Mammootty as well as Asha Sharath and Renji Panicker, along with Mukesh.
Since a long time, the team has been trying to make this film.The pandemic forced the filmmaking process to be delayed.The film is now on floors.
