“Many laughed at it and questioned its outcome.” It is a matter pride that I was able to be its first minister.

He noted that the cooperative moment is not a new phenomenon and said its seeds were sown by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and Tribhovandas Patel.

“Can anyone believe that an initiative that started with 21 villages has grown to Rs 53,000 crore with over 18,000 milk producing societies, 36 lakh women involved and more than 18,000 dairy producers? In every sector of the country’s growth movement, cooperation can only bring about inclusive growth and development.

Shah also stressed the importance of continuing the cooperative movement for milk products for fertilisers, and farming.

“In the same manner that you have created the milk processing, marketing, and procurement strategy, create a similar marketing strategy to produce organic and natural fertilizers.

Fertilizers are a major problem in the country right now.He said that chemical fertilisers are destroying land while organic farming will not only save the land but also save the health of people and animals.”

“Many people have chosen organic farming and natural agriculture, but these farmers don’t get enough prices and get it at the same level as chemical fertiliser-produced goods. He said that even though it is difficult, it is necessary to create a marketing network for organic farming.

He asked the Amul to help him with this task and to develop a strategy.

The new milk powder plant, which cost Rs 257 crore, is a unit of Gujarat Cooperative Milk and Marketing Federation (GCMMF).

It is Asia’s largest fully-automated dairy with a milk handling capacity of 50 million litres per hour. With the installation of a modern milk powder plant with a 150-ton capacity, the dairy’s capacity has increased from 35 lakh to 50 lakh litres per days to 50 million litres.

Shah also inaugurated AmulFed Dairy’s new milk powder factory and poly film manufacturing plant.AmulFed Dairy, Gandhinagar, also saw the opening of a new butter manufacturing plant as well as a high-tech warehouse facility.

AmulFed Dairy will triple its butter production capacity by adding a new butter plant. It will produce butter at a rate of 40 tonnes per day up to 120 tonnes.
