Mumbai, Nov 27, : The Maharashtra government lifted all lockdown conditions on Saturday, allowing economic and cultural activities as before the pandemic.There is a strong emphasis on complete vaccination after almost 20 months.
In a five-page order, Chief Secretary Sitaram Kunte stated that strict Covid behavior will continue to be required as part of the easing.

The government has ruled that only fully vaccinated people will be allowed to travel via public transport.

This includes entry to shops, establishments, malls, shops, events, programs, shows, and public gatherings.All organisers must also be fully vaccinated.

All international flights to Maharashtra must comply with the Central government’s rules.Domestic passengers must also be fully vaccinated and have a RT-PCR test report valid for 72 hours.

As before, theatres, cinemas and marriages will only continue to receive 50% attendance in closed spaces.This is in addition to up 25% of the capacity of open-to-sky venues.

If more than 1,000 people attend such events, the organizers must notify the District Disaster Management Authority.They will send officials to enforce CAB and, if violated, may close the entire venue.

All persons must adhere to the Covid-19 rules, such as wearing face-masks and keeping at least 6 feet from others, maintaining hygiene and washing hands frequently.Those found violating the CAB will be fined Rs 500.

All establishments that fail to ensure that their guests/visitors follow these norms will be penalized Rs 10,000 or may be closed until the disaster norms become effective.

Defaulters in public transport such as taxis or buses will be fined Rs 500, along with the conductor, driver, etc.Operators will also be penalized with Rs 10,000 or withdrawal of their licence until the disaster norms are in force.
