Kanpur, Nov 27, : , India finished day three at the Green Park Stadium in pole position against New Zealand.India lead by 63 runs at stumps after Axar Patel scored his fifth five-wicket run in just seven Test cricket innings to beat New Zealand for 296.
India started the second innings with a lead of 49 runs.Shubman Gill was run out by Shubman Gill, who was caught by Kyle Jamieson and hit the top of the off-stump.

Jamieson became the fastest New Zealand pacer ever to take 50 Test wickets in nine innings.This broke Shane Bo’d’s previous record of 12 innings.

While Cheteshwar Pujara scored some boundaries, Mayank Agarwal was careful in bringing India to safety until stumps were called.

Patel continued the momentum he gained from taking three wickets in the first session and managed to sneak one past Tom Blun’ell’s defense with low bounce.

He then surprised Tim Southee by surprising him with an angled-in ball that spun past the bat and left the stumps shattered.

Kyle Jamieson, who was able to show some resistance during his 75-ball stay, gave way to Patel in the 139th over.

To end New Z’aland’s innings, the off-spinner had William Somerville bowled clean in four overs.
