New Delhi, Nov 27, : Taliban security personnel killed a young doctor in western Herat province, Afghanistan on Thursday, local sources confirmed to Khaama Press. Amruddin Noori, a 33 year-old Herat physician, was shot and killed by Taliban security personnel after he failed to stop at a Herat police security checkpoint.
The victim’s family claimed the incident while speaking with local media agencies.
According to the report, Noori, who had a small private clinic for medical care, had just married.
Security officials in Herat rejected the killing of the victim by Taliban members, stating that such an incident had not been recorded with them.
Recent reports indicate an increase of crime in Afghanistan.
However, the majority of these incidents are not reported by media due to lack access to information.
