According to Xinhua news agency, the Africa CDC, a specialised healthcare agency of African Union (AU), reported that the death toll from pandemics across the continent is at 222,301.
According to the CDC, 8,064,499 people have been cured of the disease in Africa so far.
Africa, Tunisia and Ethiopia are some of the countries with the highest number of cases on the continent.
According to the Africa CDC, the most affected area in terms of caseload is southern Africa, followed by the eastern and northern parts of the continent.
Central Africa is the least affected region of the continent.
