Chennai, Nov 26 : , A Navy officer from India drowned in the Kovalam beach, Chennai.His body was recovered by police on Friday. Lt Commander J.R.Suresh (36), who was posted in New Delhi, went to his father-in law’s home in Chennai and then went to a private resort at the Kovalam beach with his family on Thursday.
He went to the sea for a swim in the evening.
A huge wave rolled in and his family panicked.However, he couldn’t swim back to shore and was taken away by police.
The family’s cries were heard by fishermen at the beach, who immediately ran to the sea but couldn’t save him.Navy divers finally found the body on Friday.
