CM Yogi allocating Rs 3,301 crores to displaced persons in Jewar

Lucknow, Nov 25, : The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has allocated Rs 3.301 crore for rehabilitation of people who have been displaced by the Jewar airport’s construction.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially lay the foundation stone for the much-awaited Noida International Airport Limited, (NIAL), in Jewar on Thursday.

A government spokesperson stated that nearly 7,224 families were affected by displacement and received Rs 403 crore to help them with their rehabilitation.

These beneficiaries include 2,368 Rohi residents, 2,659 Dayanatpur residents, 936 Kishorpur residents, 613 Ranhera residents, 613 Ranhera citizens, 573 Parohi residents, and 75 Banwariwas citizens.

3.003 families from Jewar Bangar have been allotted land at Rs 25,000 per square metre.

NIAL, which is expected to be built at an estimated cost Rs 29,560 crore and will be the fifth international airport for the state, has been dubbed the largest airport in Asia.

UP already has three international airports in operation: in Lucknow and Varanasi.

The construction of the Ayodhya Airport has been expedited by the state government.

In northern India, the Noida airport will be a logistic gateway.The airport will allow people from all parts of north India to export their products to international markets.

It will be constructed and operated by Zurich Airport International AG, a Swiss company.

The airport will be able to handle 12,000,000 passengers annually in its first phase, which is expected to be completed by 2024.

It is expected to reduce congestion at Delhi’s IGI International Airport.

In the Yamuna Expressway industrial development authority area near NIAL, there are many other important projects.

These include the Film City and the Electronic City.
