Education minister discusses rising corona cases at Rajasthan schools

Jaipur, Nov 24, : As Rajasthan’s COVID cases continue rising, with school students becoming carriers, BD Kalla, the new education minister, took note of the matter and received feedback from education officials in a meeting held Wednesday.
In the presence of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, the feedback from the meeting will be shared with the Health Department.

Then, a final decision will be made about whether the schools should continue to run in hybrid mode or offline mode.

Many private schools have stopped offering online classes since November 15, when schools were opened with 100 percent capacity.

On Tuesday, 12 students at a private school were positive for the drug.

Kalla stated that COVID cases have been reported only to private schools, and that government schools are still protected.

He stated that the COVID guidelines should be followed.Soon, a decision will be made on whether online or offline classes should be made.

Jaipur CMHO Narottam Sharma presented his report to the meeting.He stated that cases have been reported to schools in the capital.

They were detected by following the testing protocols at the right time.He denied it was a wave, but said that this was negligence of COVID protocol.

Kalla attacked the central government, stating that children should have been vaccinated first.”It is sad that there is no update on vaccinations for children due to the fact that kids are getting infected.
