Sisodia: Punjab will not make assistant professors unemployed

Chandigarh : , Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), leader Manish Sisodia, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister, on Wednesday asked the Punjab government to not make 1,000 guest faculty assistant professors illegitimate. They have been managing the education system in government colleges for many years.
Sisodia, who was visiting Punjab and met guest faculty professors while there, called the Congress government’s attitude towards them “inhumane and unjust”.

Sisodia raised concerns about the Congress government’s promise of a ‘Ghar-Ghar Rozgar,’ in light of the current crisis in Punjab’s education department.

He stated that this promise would be fulfilled when the Charanjit Channi government would make a one time settlement for 906 guest faculty assistant professors who are serving in government colleges on priority basis without any test-condition or on a dying cadre’ basis.

He stated earlier that the Shiromani Akali Dal, the Captain government, and now the Channi government, despite being in power approximately 15 years, didn’t take care of the guest faculty advisor professors.

Sisodia claimed that the Congress government was stealing even nominal employment from hundreds and thousands of people who have been serving for 15-20 years.

This is evident in the case of guest faculty assistant professors at government colleges.

He stated that if the Channi government doesn’t provide relief for assistant professors, then all guest faculty assistant professors’ jobs will be secured prior to the formation of the AAP government of Punjab.
