Samsung R&D will recruit more than 1,000 engineers from IITs and BITS

New Delhi, Nov 24, : Samsung India announced Wednesday that it will hire more than 1,000 engineers this year from top institutions such as IITs and BITS Pilani and create a strong R&D pool for the domestic and international markets.
The new recruits will be working in cutting-edge technologies that are highly in demand and futuristic such as Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), Machine Learning(ML), Deep Learning, networks and image processing.

Samsung India has three R&D centers in India, in Bengaluru Noida and Delhi.

“We currently have between 9,000 and 10,000 engineers working in our three R&D centers,” Sameer Wadhawan (Head, Human Resources, Samsung India), told IANS.

He said, “We are about the hire more than 1000+ engineers at top IITs and other”

The company stated that 260 of these 1000 will be IITs while the rest will come from top engineering colleges like BITS Pilani, NIITS and IIITs.250 will be pre-placement offers.

The list will be updated with IIT Jodhpur, Goa and other Indian Institutes of Technology in the coming year.

“This is part our continued growth and expansion plans for India.

R&D has always been a priority for us.Wadhawan stated that we opened our first R&D center in India in Bengaluru in 1996.We also opened a factory the same year.”

He noted that this demonstrates our commitment to India and India-related talent and product.

Samsung is home to one of the most important concentrations of R&D engineers outside of its South Korean headquarters.

Wadhawan stated, “It helps fuel the innovation from India for both the domestic market and global territories.”

The South Korean giant has hired 1,200 engineers from the top engineering colleges, including IITs, NITs, and IIIT, in 2020.
