The RKPA also urged the government not to be influenced by the anti-farmers lobby.

They have asked the Chief Ministers from all 28 states and 9 Administrators for their support in ensuring that the reform is implemented in their respective states.

Chintan Shivir, RKPA, has decided to represent the Farmers’ interest and will launch a mass campaign to build consensus to the critical reforms that PM Narendra Modi has decided to repeal on November 19.

A small Anti-reform farmer leader will adversely affect emerging states like Bihar, the eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh, Odisha and Jharkhand as well as other marginalised areas.

These marginalised farmers who live far from the capital were very hopeful about the recent three Farmers Act, which was passed in Parliament. It is now going to be repealed. The MSP only affects 33% of farmers who have 23 crops under their control.

Binod Anand, the National President of RKPA, asked these anti-development agents categorically: “Which system will provide MSP to all the 87 varieties Paddy and other crops from these emerging countries? What crime have we committed?” They are destroying our hopes and dreams. These so-called farmer leaders want to force us to move and work on their farm as labourers and helpers.

The threat to the incremental investments in Agritech, Agri-infra and the democratisation of the value chain is real. The status quo regarding inter-state movement and production of farmers will lead to their being trapped in the web poverty.

The expectation was for farmers to realize higher prices through the entry of more private players, setting up trading platforms, innovative supply chains, and generating thousands of jobs.
