Stockholm, Nov 24, : On Wednesday, the Swedish Parliament elected Magdalena Andersson to be the country’s first ever female Prime Minister. According to Xinhua news agency, Andersson will take office on Friday after a meeting between King Carl XVI Gustaf and Andersson.
This gives her less than 10 months to prepare to host the country’s 2022 general election.
Sweden is the only Nordic country that has never elected a woman to be its national leader.
