London, November 24, : In the wake of racism allegations that have recently hit county cricket, one of Essex’s main sponsors has cut all ties with the side. After Azeem Rafiq, a Yorkshire cricketer, described the ‘institutionally racism’ English cricket culture to the parliamentary committee during his nearly ten-year-long stay at the county team, Essex was in trouble after Seetec cut its ties with the club.
Jahid Ahmed, a former Essex County bowler of medium pace, claimed Tuesday that he was subject to racist abuses while playing for the team.The 35-year old follows Maurice Chambers and Zoheb Sharif, who both claim that the team discriminated against them.
After being asked by a friend if he was going to bomb the club, Jahid represented Essex in seven first class matches between 2005-2009.
The Cricketer interviewed the bowler and he claimed that he was bullied and mocked by a senior coach.
“Seetec is listed on the Essex website as one of eight Platinum Club Partners and confirmed to inews.co.uk it was suspending its ties from the club due to the historic and deeply damaging allegations,” inews.co.uk stated in an exclusive report.

Azeem Rafiq’s accusations against Yorkshire led to Nike and Yorkshire Tea pulling out of sponsorship deals with the county.
In the wake of Rafiq’s deposition, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), suspended the county’s hosting rights for international matches.
