New Delhi, Nov 24, : Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kehriwal has added Ayodhya on the list of pilgrimage destinations under the ‘Mukhyamantri Tirtha Yatra Yojana.He will soon include Velankanni Church, Tamil Nadu, which is one of the most venerated pilgrimages for Catholics in India, under the scheme.
“Many of our Christian brothers pointed out that none their pilgrimage sites were included within the scheme.They have good news: Velankanni Church will soon be added to Mukhyamantri Tirtha Yatra Yojana (“Chief Minister’s Pilgrimage Scheme”),” Kejriwal stated during a virtual press conference.

Ayodhya was added to the scheme by the Chief Minister on October 27.This allows elderly people to travel in air-conditioned trains and stay at good, air-conditioned hotels for free.

“The first train to Ayodhya starts in December 3.The registrations have opened for the same.”One youth can accompany an older person,” he said.He also stated that it is okay to not be stressed if one train is booked.”We will start another train soon.”

“Over 36,000 people have benefited from the scheme so far.Ayodhya has been added to the Mukhyamantri Tirth Kalyan Yojna list, along with other pilgrimage sites such as Jagannath Puri and Shirdi.We offer free assistance to those who wish to visit Ram Lalla, Ayodhya.

“It was a blessing that I was able to bow before Ram Lalla, and I hope everyone gets the chance.” He said that whatever ability he has, he will use it to make more people visit there,” he said last month.
