They also pointed out that Delhi’s air quality index is still at over 300, which is dangerous.

“We are not going close this matter.”We will continue the matter.almost everyday or alternate day,” stated the bench, indicating that it wants to see effective implementations of steps to combat air pollution.

The bench stated that it could not micromanage states or tell them what to do.

Justice Chandrachud stated that this is a national capital, and that severe air pollution levels are not good for the world.

He advised the Centre to not focus on ad-hoc measures such as street cleaning through machines, anti-smog guns, dust management, and so forth.Instead, the air quality commission should conduct a scientific study to reduce the amount of air pollution.

Justice Chandrachud stressed that authorities should be able to predict that air quality will decline in the future and then take appropriate measures. He said that statistical models should be examined in order to identify the main factors responsible for air pollution, and then take action.

Justice Chandrachud stated, “You have to anticipate the weather becoming bad.that anticipation must be based upon statistical models for Delhi.”

The Centre’s Solicitor General Tushar Mehta elaborated on the level of response that authorities have adopted as the air quality declines.

Justice Chandrachud suggested seasonal modeling for air pollution, such as January to March, July and September, November to January, and November to December.

He said, “You need to have models that are suitable for different seasons in Delhi.look at the data from the last five years.”

The bench pointed out 381 AQI Delhi and ordered the Centre to take 2-3 days to reduce air pollution.

A petition filed by Aditya Dubey, a minor, seeking action against stubble-burning, which chokes Delhi every single year is being heard by the top court.
