Her lawsuit claimed that “Sony discriminates towards female employees, including those who identify themselves as female, in terms of compensation and promotion, and subjects them to work culture predominated over by men.”

She also claimed that other women at PlayStation had difficulty getting promoted at the same pace as men.

Sony PlayStation has yet to respond.

The Sony lawsuit was filed amid high-profile federal and state lawsuits against Activision, maker of “Call of Duty”, over alleged sexual misconduct as well as gender-based pay disparities.

According to The Verge: PlayStation chief Jim Ryan sent an email to employees last week, condemning Activision Blizzard for its response to reports that CEO Bobby Kotick had allegedly been abusive and harassing during his 30 year tenure at the company.

Ryan was “disappointed and frankly shocked to read” that Activision Blizzard had not done enough to address a deeply-rooted culture of harassment and discrimination.

He said that PlayStation didn’t believe Blizzard’s response “properly addressed the situation”
