He may have been able to portray evil villains with ease, but he has played many characters across films that are of varying colors.

The actor, who is continuing to draw attention to his comedy ‘Cash” with a hilarious gag humor, spoke to IANS to discuss his involvement with the project. He also discussed how he pitches and designs his bad guy characters to appeal to an Indian audience.

The veteran actor shared how he got involved in the project. He said that the producer and director approached him directly.Gulshan stated that “Vishesh Bhatti, the producer, and Rishabh Sext, the director, approached me.” Vishesh has been my friend since the moment he was born.I have worked alongside his father Mukesh Bhatt, sahab and with Vishesh’s uncle Mahesh Bhhatt, sahab.

But he (Vishesh), was producing this movie independently.

When the producer and director came to my house and told me the story and my role, I agreed.Because of one lesson I learned from Mahesh Bhatt sahab, I answered yes.He said to me that if you wish to be a great talent for life, then don’t forget the youth.Your acting will be different for that young person.

He adds that the young person will be able to find something in your talents, your abilities, and will shine through your younger energy as well as your experiences.

The greatest cinematic villains were always those who had something that was universally appealing to the public.

The actor said, in a similar vein, that a distinct characteristic, called an “ada”, makes an actor a popular character and can make him a star, whether he is a protagonist, antagonist, or both. These possibilities, which are the trademarks of actors in real films, don’t exist.

The writers and directors may have some qualms about this, but it is a good thing in that they don’t need to add unnecessary characteristics or traits to their characters. This is only important in some types of movies.

The audience might have an opinion about Bollywood’s most popular ‘Bad Man,’ but the truth is that the actor was a gifted student with impressive academic credentials. He has also been humble.

When he realizes that the artist within him is racing light years ahead, what does he feel? He says “What people haven’t seen is that I am a normal guy.” I was not able to experience the emotions, experiences and other things required for the role of bad guy that I played. They were part of my role as actor.

People who achieve great success are often defined by their failures. The actor recalled his struggles and attempts to overcome failures.People would not have me cast as a role in their movie if they saw me.

They would have me thrown out because I wasn’t confident enough to play a villain. It took me a while to realize that we were looking for an exterior trait, with a particular aura.

All that I needed was found once the cameras stopped rolling.Acting is what it is.This is what I did.”That’s what I love,” the actor says.
